Spring

I am SOOOO ready for Spring!! How about you?? I don't know why...but winter has gone on for five months this year so far! And the bad thing is...that Spring doesn't seem like it's every going to come. That's why I was happy when I had the opportunity to do a survey about Spring through dNeero. I guess if the weather can't feel like Spring, then it's at least fun to do a survey that makes you think about spring and all that it represents. :)

Sitting Up

Kaelyn has officially started sitting up on her own. She began this past week without the support of pillows or us. It was really cute to see for the first time...and now that's all she wants to do. It's weird how quickly she went from hardly being able to sit up with pillows, to being able to sit on her own. I'm so proud of her! I think crawling will come next...as she gets very antsy to move around when she's on her tummy.

I don't know about you, but I enjoy doing little projects here and there. Yucky Weather

I can't believe the weather out there today!! I woke up this morning to a nice rain falling. It reminded me that it is actually Spring, even though it doesn't always feel like it. Unfortunately the nice rainfall quickly changed to a heavy sleet. We're under a winter advisory until tomorrow morning which is really a bummer! The fact that it's sleeting out lets me know that it's much colder than I'd like. I hope it passes quickly!

New Shower Faucet

My husband and I were just talking about how our shower faucet is not working properly. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but it's definitely something that will need to be replaced sooner than later. We're trying to do other little projects around the house, and this was not one that we had planned on doing so soon. However, I guess that's how it goes when you own your own home...something goes wrong and you have no other choice but to fix it. That's ok...it will be fun shopping around for shower faucets.

Growing Quickly!

Isn't it amazing how quickly little babies grow?! I can't hardly believe that our little girl is already 5 months old! She's growing so fast...and learning new things every day. It's fun just to watch her as she plays on the floor. Not only is she rolling all over the place, but now she is even sitting up some on her own without any pillow support. She's showing a big interest in crawling and in eating solids. It goes to show that you should cherish every moment with your baby...because they grow up too quickly!

Where is Spring?

It sure doesn't feel like spring outside these days. I know officially it is spring, but when I look out my window and see the ground covered in snow....that reminds me more of winter still. The temps are beginning to warm up some, but it's still too cold to even take Kaelyn outside without being covered up in her carrier. I can't wait until May and June when it really gets nice. Kaelyn hasn't even been able to enjoy the outdoors since she was born. Hopefully it will begin to feel like Spring very soon.

When my husband was in school...he learned a lot about different devices to aid people in being mobile. One of the things he talked a lot about was stair lifts. New Furniture

My little brother was recently telling me that he's going to be looking at getting some new furniture. One of the things he would like to look at getting is a new couch. He'd also like to get a new bed. I think he's looking at getting a foam mattress which would be a lot nicer than the bed he has now. I think he'd sleep a lot better too. Maybe Scott and I should start looking at getting a bed like that...we'll have to check some mattresses out and see what we think.

Where is Spring?!

I was bummed to hear that it was snowing out this morning. I guess it's not anything too bad...but I just don't understand where Spring is?! It's almost April and we're still getting snow....that just doesn't seem right. We had an early winter this year, and it's looking like we're going to have a late Spring. It's a bummer to think that we have had winter for nearly 5 months out of our year now....grrr! I'm sure hoping it will warm up soon.

New Car

My dad has a car that his job provides. It has a lot of miles on it and this year he will be getting a new car. He was able to choose among several different cars and got to pick the color he wanted too. The one he chose is a Chevrolet Malibu. He wasn't going to consider that car but Scott told him that the new Malibu was totally different from the older styles. They did some research together on the web and decided on that car. A Sad Disease

Feeling Sick

There have been a lot of people that have been feeling sick. Scott and I have had days lately when we weren't feeling great. Scott took a day off from work which is very unusual. We had fevers and were achy but hopefully we are on the mend. It isn't fun to feel sick. Kaelyn has been fine, which I am thankful for. I think the warm weather will help to make us feel better.

Beautiful Day

Wow, what a beautiful day. We have had so much cold weather and snow that it is nice to see the sun and feel the warmth. I can even see some grass in the yard. It will be so much fun this spring and summer when we can be out in the yard. Kaelyn will enjoy her first warm season of her life. I look forward to it.

Visiting Work

When we were down visiting my brother, we were able to go to my old place of work and visit everyone. They were all very anxious to meet Kaelyn for the first time, as we had moved away before I even knew I was pregnant. It was so much fun to introduce her to everyone and to see old coworkers again. Kaelyn did really well and let many of the girls hold her. I had a good time and look forward to a time when I can go back and visit again.

Nice Weather

It has been no fun being sick over the past few days! Scott had some time off from work and the weather has been just beautiful! If we had both been feeling better we had said what a perfect time it would have been to take Kaelyn on a stroller ride!! Ever since she was born the temps have been extremely cold, so now that they're warming up she could actually enjoy the outdoors a little bit. Oh well...we'll get the chance to do this again sometime.

So Cute

I sit here and type, I am watching my little girl and amazed at all she can do! She is four months old has begun rolling over from her back to her tummy. She used to hate her tummy, but now that she can get there when she wants to she really enjoys it. She's even trying to "army crawl" sometimes to get to the toys that she sees and wants. It's so cute!! For now her rolling is keeping her mobile enough, but I"m sure soon the "army crawl" will catch on.

Headaches

I do a lot of work on the computer these days, and one downfall to that is that it tends to give me headaches. Sitting in front of the computer for long periods of time is rally straining on the neck...and that's exactly where my headaches stem from. At least I have a nice husband who's always willing to rub my neck and make it feel better.:) He's such a sweet guy.

Appointment

I'm very tired of all of this snow!! It seems that every day we start out with sun, and then as the day goes on it begins snowing. It hasn't gotten really nasty, but it's just enough to make it no fun to be outdoors. When we were outside for Kaelyn's appointment today it was so bitter cold! It's not just the snow, but the winds make is miserable! It's March, which means that Spring should be coming soon. Right?! I sure hope so.

Truly Blessed

Today Kaelyn had her four month Drs Appt. We were really looking forward to seeing how much she had grown. It turns out that since her last appointment two months ago she had gained over 2 lbs and grown 2 inches!! She's getting to be such a big girl. She's sitting up some, rolling all over the place, and even beginning to teethe. I really enjoy watching her change and grow...it's so much fun! We are truly blessed.
