Jewelry

Scott has always been a romantic. He loves to surprise me with jewelry and other nice gifts. Recently he was asking me if I would like handcrafted jewelry. I wasn't sure what he was talking about, so he got online and showed me some that he had found. I was really surprised how much of a variety there is when it comes to jewelry like this and actually found some things that I really liked. If you like jewelry like I do, you may want to check out handcrafted jewelry as well.

Medical Software For PDAs

Did you know that now your doctor can use his/her PDA to your benefit?? Yep, that's right, they can with the new PDA medical drug reference software that Epocrates has created! What is this software good for? Well it makes it really easy and convenient for doctors to find drug information quickly. Like, maybe they're looking up drug dosing information, side effects or even health plan coverage?!? Now you don't have to wait for them to go out of the room to find the answers....they have it right there in the pocket. I really think this is a huge advancement and something I hope more and more healthcare professionals will take advantage of!! If you'd like to learn more you can check out Epocrates website today! This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

Always Busy!

Isn't it funny how the work just never ends?? It seems like no matter what day it is of the week, or what month it is...there is ALWAYS something to do. I feel like Scott and I hardly ever take a break just to sit. Between working, taking care of the house, Kaelyn, and the remodeling we're doing....that keeps our days quite full!! Oh well...I guess that's how it is for most people. It's fun being busy, but sometimes it would be nice just to sit and relax with Scott and Kaelyn for a while. We may have to just make it a point to slow down one night and just sit.

New Camera!!

We finally got our new camera and really like it a lot!! It's a Kodak digital camera and has so many options and features. We're still trying to learn all that it can do, and find ourselves referring to the manual quite often! That's ok though, it's worth it to have such a nice camera!! We really liked our old Sony Cybershot...but take so many pictures and just wanted something a little bit nicer. It's a great camera though, and I know my Grammy will love it!!

Crib Bedding

I walked into Kaelyn's room the other day and found her standing up in her crib. I knew this day was coming, as she stands up and walks along furniture all the time!! The moment I saw that she could do this, I told Scott that we had to get her crib lowered so she couldn't climb out and get hurt. It was quite the process...taking out her crib bedding and mattress...lowering it and then putting everything back...but it was well worth it! I'm so happy that we did knowing that she is safe and sound in there.

Diet Pills

Every time I turn on the television or listen to the radio...it seems like one of the most common ads that I see and hear are those pertaining to weight loss pills. I'm not sure what you think, but it seems like there's an awful lot of pills out there to choose from. Someone would definitely have to do a lot of research to make sure that they're getting one that truly works. I heard of one called Orovo from a friend of mine. It's supposed to be a great way to lose weight and fight acne as well. Have you ever tried it before? I'm gonna have to read up on it and see what the reviews say.

Basement REmodel

Well, our basement is finally coming together. The carpet will be laid next week and Scott will be painting tomorrow and Monday probably. I'm really excited to see it all put together. It should be a lot of fun compared to the empty, unfinished mess that it was before. Now we're just trying to think about what we're going to use for furniture down there. We have a couch that we can use, but we would definitely want to look into slipcovers. We have a television and tv stand to use for the time being as well...so that's nice as well. I'll have to post pictures once it's all finished!

Air Purifiers

Have you ever purchased an air purifier before? We have, and absolutely love the fact that we got it. When I was pregnant I was especially sensitive about the air I was breathing in. Being responsible for a little life growing inside of me probably made me a bit paranoid about things like that. But I think it's better to be overly careful than not enough. Since having Kaelyn, I am still that way...as I want her in the healthiest environment possible. We got a our air purifier while I was pregnant and have used it many times since having Kaelyn as well. I'm so glad we got it! I did a lot of research and looked at Blueair air purifiers especially, but ended up going a different direction and absolutely love it!

Finding a new camera

Scott and I have a really great camera, but just recently we were discussing the possibility of getting a new one. We like ours, but we just think that there might be something that would make our pictures a bit clearer. I know we might have to spend a little money to find something like that...but in my opinion it's worth it. Pictures are a great way to make memories and share them with others. We're in the process of looking at a Canon camera...but are not sure if this is the direction we will go or not?!

Laptop Computers

When our old laptop computer crashed on us...we thought it would be worth the money to buy a new one. We didn't spend a ton of money...but enough to get the things we needed in a computer. I'm so glad we went the route we did. I have plenty of room on my computer for the things I do as well as a battery life that just keeps on going. Soon I think we're actually going to look into get a second one...so that will be nice too. One for me and one for Scott.

Great Computer

We have been really enjoying our new laptop over the past couple of months. It has way more computer memory than our old one...the battery lasts much longer...and it just seems to function better. I'm really glad we invested in a new one after our old one broke down. I wasn't too sure at first...but am really happy that Scott talked me into it. Without it I would be stuck back in our office on the desktop most of the day. This is much more practical and convenient.

So Many Changes

Kaelyn has made so many changes just in the past week. She is so much fun to watch. She has started to wave and clap some...it's the cutest thing ever! She's also starting to copy us in what we're saying. When we say byebye...she tries to say it. She's even saying something that sounds a lot like tickle, tickle, tickle. I just love their cute little baby voices!! How fun!!

ZenniOptical.com

I don't know about you...but sometimes I just dread buying new prescription glasses. Not because I don't need them...because I certainly do, but because they can be so expensive. Knowing this...I began thinking that there are probably better deals online. As I was looking, I soon came across zennioptical.com! They sell extremely stylish prescription glasses online for prices that are absolutely outstanding!! I loved that they had such a large selection of frames and different kinds of lenses. If you're looking for low prices and good quality when it comes to your glasses....check out ZenniOptical.com today!

Family Reunion

It's fun to get together with family...especially those that you haven't seen for a while. This past weekend was a perfect time to get together with my mom's side of the family. We hadn't had a family reunion for quite some time now...and it was good to see everyone again. It was a beautiful day as well...so many of us enjoyed some time spent outdoors too! I'm glad we had the chance to get together and hope we do that more often.

Stem Cell Innovation for Women

I'm sure many would agree that stem cell research is right up there with a few other very controversial subjects in our world today!! Correct?! It's something that many of us read about and hear about constantly. Something you may not have ever heard about though, is the idea that a key to treating some very threatening illnesses that can be passed down to their own children...is that of very important stem cells in a woman's own menstrual blood. This was something that I had never heard of before...but found to be quite interesting. What a great discovery, and one that could help so many people...including the women themselves. In today's world...so many women are out working, being a parent and doing so many other things...that a life threatening illness is just not something they think about often, especially when young and healthy. The idea though, that there are options to help keep you and your children safe from things like osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease...is pretty intriguing, don't you think?!?

C'elle is a service that provides women with a safe way to collect menstrual blood from their own home. This is private and so simple! If you'd like, you can look into actually ordering C'elle for a great price online today! You can also learn more about this type of stem cell research and all that it entails by reading the following press release and go to their site to read a Celle Client Testimonial.

Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood

July 07, 2008: 01:28 PM EST

OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood.

Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies.

"C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings."

For more information about C’elle, please call 1-877-892-3553 or visit www.celle.com.

Fun Weekend!

What a fun weekend we had. We were able to celebrate the holiday with lots of family...and even spend some time out on the lake with Kaelyn. We had the chance to take her to the parade, which was a first for her...as well as letting her play with her little cousin for only the second time ever. Emry and Kaelyn were absolutely adorable as they interacted and go to know one another. It was fun to see them together and causes me to look forward to having my brother and his family living closer someday soon.

ZenniOptical.com

Beautiful Weather

The weather was great this weekend! I was wondering if it might rain on the fourth or one of the days that we had plans to do something outdoors...but it didn't! It was beautiful!! It worked out well, because yesterday it rained much of the day. We had no plans to be outdoors so that was just fine. Our grass and our flowers needed it, that's for sure! Today is another hot day...and Kaelyn and I will probably enjoy the air conditioning inside.

Great Show

Do you ever watch the television show, Jon and Kate plus 8?? This is one of my favorite television shows, and one that Scott and I love to watch together. I enjoy seeing how these parents deal with having 8 children. Overall I think they do a very good job. One thing that always cracks me up is their mode of transportation. They should really just buy a bus for all the children they have and all the supplies they have to haul everywhere. One time they actually had to get a Uhaul just to take all of their things with them. I can't even imagine having to do that...but then again, I only have one child...not 8!!

Baby Gift Ideas

Having had our first baby just 8 months ago...I remember how nice it was to have the baby shower. It's a great way for new moms to start off with the things they will need for the baby. I know it helped us anyways. We got some really great gifts...some of which were from The Nest Baby Shop. They have really cute and creative gifts for babies, moms and even siblings. Whether you're looking to buy baby gifts like apparel, announcements, or blankets...they have it all!! Find great gifts at prices you'll really appreciate. Head over to their site today to learn more about The Nest Baby Shop...you won't be sorry you did.

Golf Nut

Golf, Golf and more Golf...this is the word and the topic of conversation that I've been hearing around my house nonstop. Why you ask? Well, Scott is a golf nut...he just loves it! I'm glad that he enjoys a fun sport like this. It's something he can do throughout the summer. He and my dad both love the sport...so they try to find time to get a game in here and there once the weather gets nicer. I'm sure they will be going again soon.

Drinking Water

There's nothing better than ice water on a hot day like today. Our fridge is stocked with pop, juice, milk and water....and water is always my first choice!! It definitely is the most refreshing, that's for sure! When the temps are in the 80's and 90's like they have been lately...it's really the best choice for anyone to be drinking throughout the day...especially when outdoors. Kaelyn doesn't drink a lot of water, but when we're outside we always bring along her sippy cup to help keep her hydrated.

Hand Drums

If you've ever heard of hand drums before, you may have heard of the hand drum specialty store, x8 Drums. They recently announced that they have a new line of Pro African X8 djembe drums. They offer a wonderful selection of homemade and beautiful djembe drums and accessories. What's great about X8 Drums is that they offer prodcuts that are great for both beginners and professionals alike. Would you like to learn more about X8 Drums? If so, head over to their site today to get more information. They have everything right there and all that you will need to decide if this is the hand drum for you!

Junk Mail

I really get tired of junk mail in my inbox!! I know some people who actually switch e-mails because they get so much junk mail. Sometimes I'm tempted...and would if I didn't have so many contacts who already knew my e-mail address. I'm not even sure where all of these e-mails come from?! It seems like the junk mail filter that is supposed to work, doesn't do a thing. I still get SO much! If anyone has any suggestions that's worked for them...please let me know!

Social Networking

At first I wasn't all that sure about the social networking sites out there. Then, with time, I decided to fall into peer pressure and I'm so glad I did! I especially like Facebook...as it's a great way to keep in touch with friends and family who I don't get to see very often. Having been out of high school and college for many years now...I sure appreciate a convenient and easy way to keep in contact with people. I think this is the easiest and most fun way by far!

CSN

I don't know about you, but I LOVE shopping. However, I had never heard of the Cable Shopping Network before until just recently. Have you?? Well, I'm really glad I stumbled across them though...as they really have a lot of great products to offer!! I like the fact that make it easy to shop for a variety of collectibles and have fun while doing it! I definitely thought they were sharing with all of you! If you'd like to learn more about them and presidential dollars, and see why they've grown as one of the most successful retailers in the collectibles industry, then you should definitely check out their site and even check them out on television. See why I think they're so great!

Home Improvement Ideas

I don't get the chance to watch a lot of TV...but when I do, and it's not cartoons ;), I like to watch HGTV. Do you ever watch the neat home shows on that channel?? They're on all the time I think. I have my favorites, but they're all pretty good! I like seeing the way that people update their homes. The only downfall is that it makes me want to do updates to our home too!! Oh well...it at least gives me ideas of what we can do down the road!

Solid Foods

One of my favorite things about Kaelyn eating some solid foods now, is watching her face every time she tries something new!! We recently introduced oatmeal cereal and she loves it!! It's so neat how the minute it touched her mouth for the first time though...she knew it was new and different from the other cereal she had been eating. It's so cute to watch her nose scrunch up and then her mouth open for more! Next we will try asparagus...yum!!

ZephyrPaintball.com

Paintball is a sport that seems to becoming more and more popular...especially among the young. That's why it's great that there are sites and stores out here for all the gear and supplies a person would need. ZephyrPaintball.com is one that I recently came across and thought it was worth sharing. They offer all the gear and equipment that you would need at low prices and even free shipping. Whether you're looking for Paintball guns, airsoft rifles, Paintball goggles, or even hats and hoodies....ZephyrPaintball.com has it all! They even offer a variety of brands. Find Dye, JT USA, Kingman, Tippman, PMI, and more...right here! See what you think by visiting their site today.

More Progress

I am pretty excited!! We are getting more and more done on our basement with each day that passes. And, yesterday the carpet layer came and measured our basement so we can get a quote on how much it will cost us. He said that once we accept the quote they can put in the carpet as soon as we're ready! YEAH!! We're so excited! Once the carpet gets put in, it will be a completely different space. Scott and I will enjoy spending time down there now. Pictures are coming...

Stay at Home Mom Job

Are you a stay at home mom who would love the opportunity to make a little extra income?? If so, you need to look into blogging for money! I know, it sounds too good to be true...but from personal experience, let me tell you...it's 100% legit and so easy! I remember hearing it at first, and saying "that sounds too easy to be possible", but with a little experience, I learned that it was in fact an easy way to make a good income from home. At least one that helps us live more comfortably and have a little fun here and there. I have told so many people about it, some of whom don't have any desire to learn more, and some that love it as much as I do. Definitely check into it if it's something that interests you at all!!

Midwest Auto Recycling

Midwest Auto Recycling is a site that specializes in used engines and transmissions. I thought this was a site definitely worth sharing....as engines and transmissions are something that many of us have to replace at some point. midwest auto recycling has the strongest warranty nation wide. What's great is that all the miles are CARFAX verified and all the engines are completely assembled. They're also inspected, started, tested, cleaned and checked!! Neverending to-do list

Owning our own home, it seems there's always something that needs to be done. Scott and I were talking about it tonight....and the list is neverending. Between cleaning the house, taking care of the plants and the lawn....we also have our basement which we're remodeling and other little jobs like seeding the lawn, re-caulking the shower, touching up some paint on the house, etc!! Oh well...it keep us busy I suppose. Better that than to be bored with nothing to do. I guess in the end we don't mind having all that to do....it makes for a nicer home I suppose.
