Twice is Nice

Scott and I learned of this store called "Twice is Nice" in a nearby town. We decided to go, because we heard that they have some great baby clothes for outstanding prices. Boy were we told right!!! They have so much stuff...and for so cheap. We got a few different pieces of clothing that looked great and it ended up costing us around 3 dollars. We were really pleased with that.

Another great blogging company...

Another Blogging company that I just love is Payu2blog. I really enjoy Payu2blog, because they not only give you many offers and give you lots of time to get them all done...but they let you write your posts freely. You don't have to concentrate on trying to sell the product or site that you're writing for, all you have to do is mention in an every day post that you write and link to it. I just love this...I actually think it's kind of fun.

Software Security Solutions

Protecting your computer from viruses while on the internet is something that we all should think about. I'm sure many of us have...but chances are, our solution was to get many different types os security software to protect your computer from these viruses. This can be a hassle and cost you a lot of money. Software Security Solutions makes it easier to protect your computer. They offer Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Exploits, and Firwall protection all in one place, the NOD32. This is a comprehensive approach to securing the internet from the things that can harm your computer. If you're interested in learning more about Software Security Solutions...check out this site today.

I love Blogitive

Last night I was just checking my e-mail, as well as Blogitive to see if there were any offers to do for a little extra money. As I was sitting there and refreshing the page, all of a sudden lots and lots of opportunities popped up. I like Blogitive because it always seems that they have work for me to do. Not only that, but they give you two days to do it. So, if you're busy at the time that you take them, you can always reserve them and do them that night or the next day.

New CD

I'm so excited because my mom sent a Mark Schultz CD home with Scott yesterday for us to have and listen to. As I've written before, I really enjoy listening to Mark Schultz, and I'm really excited that I now have a CD to listen to. I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet...but I'm sure it's a great CD...all of his songs are just amazing.

Karate Gi

Did you know that another name for a karate uniform is a Karate Gi? I didn't know this until just recently, but thought that was pretty interesting. No matter what you call it, the KarateDepot.com has a large selection of uniforms to suit your needs and interests. They have great brands of uniforms at outstanding prices. No matter if you're looking for KD Elite, or something else, you should definitely check this site out today. I know that I'm definitely going to tell others about this site who are interested in Karate, or know someone who is. I was quite impressed with all that they had to offer.

Zoe's Leaving For Home

As much as I love having my parent's dog here every once in a while for company during the day, I know that they miss her lots when she's gone and are ready for her to come home after a week of her being on "vacation" at our house. Tonight, when dad goes back home after the golf tournament, he's going to take Zoe home with him. I always miss not having here around when they take her back...but I know that she loves her home and being with my mom and dad. I know they also miss her and love having her home. Oh well...we'll "borrow" her again sometime I"m sure.:)

Zoe is feeling better!

Zoe, my parents dog, was acting kind of funny the first couple of days she was here. She was just not acting like herself...she wasn't eating much and just overall kind of mopey. Starting yesterday she began to act like she was feeling much better. She ate both of her meals and was running around here like her normal self again. I kind of think she a bit of the flu bug or something. I"m just glad she's feeling better.

Gebhart Properties

Have you ever heard of Gebhart Properties before?? I hadn't until just recently, but they sound like a great company. They have a great new site that has information on the Hawaii resort and the ocean front vacation homes in the area that are for rent in Maui and on the Big Island, like a Maui Vacation Rental for example. Gebhart Properties is known for the quality and luxurious places that they offer, with features like spaciousness and custom furnishings. You're sure to find a place to stay that is comfortable and very convenient. If this sounds like something that you'd be interested in learning more about, check out their site or call 1-800-545-5151.

Busy Day

Yesterday I got a lot of the cleaning around the house done that I needed to, so today I'm focused on getting some work done on the computer and doing a couple of other things on my list. I would really like to get some things sorted through before the baby comes in October, because once he/she is here I know I will not have as much time. There's still some things from our move that I haven't sorted through, so today would be a good time to start.

More Golf

Today Scott and Dad are golfing all day in a tournament that Scott's work is putting on. They were pretty excited about this tournament, as it's all I"ve been hearing about for months!! It's kind of their last big golf thing before Scott enters busy season and before the weather gets too cold to play any more. I'm glad that Scott and Dad both like golfing so much...it's nice that they have fun doing that together and have something like that in common.

Baby Gifts

Have you ever wondered what to buy for that baby shower that you were invited to? I know I have. Sometimes it's hard to know what you can get for the baby and the mom. Don't worry, you don't have to think about this any longer, because The Nest Baby Shop has everything you could possibly need or want. You can find really cute, creative gifts. No matter if you're looking for apparel, announcements, bibs, blankets or something else...they have it here. I also like the fact that many of the gifts have personalization...for FREE!! Personalizing a gift just makes it that much more special, don't you think!?! You should definitely check them out the next time you're in the market to buy baby gifts or plan a baby shower.

Cereal

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE my cereal!! I could eat cereal all day long!! Lately I've really been enjoying Lucky Charms. I kind of go in spurts though. For a while there all I was eating was Honey Bunches of Oats, which I still do in turn for Lucky Charms throughout the week. Then I was eating Mini-wheats for a while...and now I"ve been on this Lucky Charms kick.

Apples Galore!

The house that we just bought has an apple tree in the backyard. Some people might think this would be a pretty neat thing to have, but Scott is not liking it at all. It's located on a little hill in our yard, so when the apples fall off of it, they roll all over!! It's kind of fun because we see rabbits out there all the time eating the apples, but Scott doesn't like it because he feels like he's picking up apples every few days. I think someday we'll probably get rid of that tree...as it seems to be more of a hassle than it's worth.

Ticket Broker

Have you ever found it to be more hassle than it's worth to try and get tickets to your favorite NFL, MLB, NBA, team or concert?? I know I have, as my husband is a huge sports nut. Trying to get Miami Heat tickets, for instance, can be really difficult if you're not looking the right place. At Premium Seats USA, you can find the tickets you're looking. They have such wide selection of all kinds of tickets nationwide. You should definitely check them out the next time you're looking for tickets to a game or special event. You won't have the hassle of being told that the tickets are sold out anymore.

Baby Moving

The baby has really been moving a lot lately! I've noticed over the past week that I wake up around 2:30 and 4:30 with lots of movement going on. When I wake up for the second time I find that it's very hard to get back to sleep...sometimes a couple of hours. I'm glad the baby is so active though...it's so much fun to feel him/her move. Last night I was laying on the couch and all of a sudden the baby started turning and moving all over...my husband really enjoyed watching him/her move all around...as you could see it very well.

Mosquitoes

The mosquitoes have been so bad outside lately. I don't know if the city stopped spraying for them or what...but they are just terrible. We can barely walk out of our front door or our garage without being attacked by them. Last night Scott probably killed more than 10 that just flew in when we walked in the door. I sure hope that they get to spraying again...this is ridiculous.

Allegro Medical

Allegro Medical is a large online retailer of products to enhance lives, based here in the US. They offer 55,000 products, under a number of categories and have over 1 million customers!! They started back in 1998, and have grown so much. They used to only offer medical equipment and home medical supplies, but now they have exercise and fitness equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, maternity/baby supplies, etc! If you'd like to learn more about how Allegro Medical can help you, stop by their site. It's very user-friendly and easy to navigate, so you shouldn't have a problem finding what it is you're looking for.

I love this house!

I feel like ever since we began talking about the house we're in now...we've been running from one meeting to the next....especially during the actual house hunting process. We were meeting constantly with our Realtor, the banker, and our insurance agent. Now we're still busy with our insurance agent, as we're switching our car insurance over to our homeowners policy. It's been crazy...but we wouldn't have it any other way...we just love this new house!!

No More Rain!

It rained a little bit yesterday and last night, but we're hoping for no more rain so that Dad and Scott are able to go golfing tomorrow. It's not supposed to rain a lot, but even just a little rain can affect a golf game I'm sure. We'll just pray for sunny skies and pleasant weather.

Gift baskets

Gift baskets are a great gift to receive and to give. You can just do so much with gift baskets, and they are appropriate for many different occasions. Have you ever thought about giving a gift basket by gourmet gift baskets? They use really great food in their baskets, and their products are really wonderful as well. They have baskets for all kinds of occasions like golf gift baskets, "thank you", "get well soon", "baby", and so many more. They are known for their quality and the happiness of their prior customers is evident. So, if you're looking to give someone a gift basket any time in the near future, check out this long standing company...you won't be disappointed.

Facebook

I'm sure many of you out there have heard of Facebook, right? I really like facebook, probably more than Myspace even. I think I like it, because it's run a lot better than other social networking sites. On myspace I'll get all kinds of random people trying to add me, most of whom only have a site set up to direct people to other sites where there aren't good pictures of them. On Facebook I never get people adding me like this, and I greatly appreciate it. Facebook is such a great way to keep in touch with old friends from high school and college...I just love it!

PPP and 1K Tuesday

Today PayPerPost is doing their 1K Tuesday again. I used to get really excited about these promotions and sit by my computer much of the day...but after doing this a few different times, I've decided that I'm not going to get all worked up about these opportunities. There are 50,000 bloggers who work for PPP, and to have every one of us trying to grab the same opportunity is kind of a pain. If I see an opportunity I will try and grab it...but I don't want to waste my whole day, and not do anything else on the hope that I will get one of these opps.

Wedding Rings

I think one of the neatest pieces of jewelry a woman can own is her wedding ring. The reason I think this is obviously the meaning behind the ring, but also because it seems each ring is different and unique in it's own special way...as it should be, since every bride has different taste. Some people choose to buy their engagement ring and wedding band together...while others like to purchase the wedding bands separate from the engagement ring. This is what I did. My husband picked out my engagement ring...and he did a fantastic job. Then, after we got engaged, he wanted us to go together and pick out the wedding band together. I thought this was a great idea...I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way.

Furniture

Recently my husband I moved into our new home. Once we got our things pretty well settled, there was some home furniture that we saw we needed. Obviously we are not going to buy everything at once, but it's nice to know our "wish list" of things so that at some point we can buy these things piece by piece. One of the main pieces we bought when we moved was another television stand. This made it possible for us to finish putting together one of our living rooms...and now it just looks great. I can't wait to get the rest of the furniture that we would like to have down the road sometime.

Intranet Software

Have you ever heard of Epazz Inc. before? If not, you should know that they are an intranet software that helps to bring businesses web application. It's really quite neat all that their software can do. With this software you will find features like website content management, group scheduling, business e-mail solutions, and so much more! I twill help you to collaborate and improve communication between your managers and employees and will help to improve workflow. Does this sound like something you'd be interested in learning more about for your business? If so, check them out today. There is a 30 day free trial of their software...all you need to do is go to their site and contact them...they will work with you from the beginning til' the end. Take a look and see what you think.

Market Research

Have you ever heard of Synovate before? They are a company, full of market researches who are curious to learn what it is that people like and why they like them. When you think about it...this is a great thing...because the information they take from this helps them let manufacturers know what it is that people want. I really liked what this market research company had to offer...because it seems that they care about what the consumer wants...they want to get the word out there so we are happy.

Cancun Vacation

When I go somewhere on vacation, I know for a fact that I want to stay somewhere nice and relaxing. I want a place like Karisma Hotels, that make your stay amazing. This collection of resorts is on the beaches in the Mexican Riviera Maya. Here you'll even find a new Gourmet-Inclusive type of resort, created for those who love great food. I like how each resort guarantees a great level of service and a relaxing environment. I may end up looking into Karisma Hotels as I am interested in All Inclusive Cancun Vacations. You may want to look into them as well. Even if you're not one who is easily impressed, you will be impressed by what these resorts have to offer! So whether you're looking for a romantic get away, or a family vacation...this may be just the place you've been looking for. Check them out and see what you think.

2 more months!

I can't believe that it's already August 28th today!! That means that we have exactly 2 months until we finally get to meet our little one. We are just so excited...I hope that the next couple of months go by quickly!! Being pregnant is great and all, but we're just so excited to have this little baby in our arms and here with us.:)

Work From Home

I don't know how many bloggers out there have entered the wonderful world of blogging for money, but I'm guessing that there's quite a few who have. One thing I've noticed over the past year that I've been blogging for money, is that there are so many different sites out there...each offering their own benefits to bloggers who work for them. Although I definitely have my favorites, I can say good things about each company. Obviously the ones like Blogitive, who give a steady amount of posts are my favorite...but each one has something unique to offer. If you haven't started blogging for money, you should really consider it...it's a great way to earn some extra cash here and there.

Disney

I really enjoy going to Florida on vacations. In fact, it is one of my most favorite places to go in the whole world!! They just have so many great things to do there....theme parks, beaches, dining, entertainment...the list goes on and on. They also have great resorts and motels there as well. Have you ever been to Orlando? If so, then I'm sure you've been to Disney World, as this is one of their largest attractions for visitors. Disney is a place that I could go back to time after time. Someday my hubby and I want to take our kids there. When we do, we will look into getting Cheap Disney World Vacation Packages. If you're interested in doing the same, check out this site to learn more.

Zoe is so good!

Zoe is staying with us, and she's been such a good dog so far. Sometimes at night she can kind of bother us, but last night she was great! She slept the whole night and never once asked to go potty or anything!! That is pretty good. We were happy, because both Scott and I were pretty tired after our long weekend.

Need to get ready

Today I have been doing too much blogging already, and haven't even taken the time to finish getting ready for church. I think I'm gonna have to sign off for a few hours, so I can get ready and go to church with my hubby. This blogging thing just gets so addictive sometimes. I will write more soon.

Landscape Design

Have you ever noticed what a difference a little landscaping makes in front of a house? I had some, but not so much until we bought our own home. Now that's all my husband talks about doing...because he knows he would make such a difference. I have to agree...landscaping is more than just placing a few plants here and there...it's about being creative, and adding a uniqueness to your home. I truly gives your home more value and makes it more enjoyable to live in. SLDA’s Landscape Design Associates want to make that possible. They are very skilled in what they do, and make sure that they ask you the questions necessary to ensure that you're getting the landscaping that you will love. I was very impressed with them, and I think you will be too.

Moving the piano TONIGHT!!:)

Turns out that the piano movers couldn't move my piano tomorrow...so mom and dad are kind enough to follow them up here and let them in our place so that they can move it in tonight!! I'm really excited to have it here...should look really nice I think. Mom and dad were going to come up tomorrow anyways for Scott's birthday, so they are going to just stay tonight and still go out to eat with us tomorrow. That should be fun.

Memory Walk

Alzheimer's is a disease that we seem to hear more and more about. It's such a sad disease, and one that I feel we need to raise awareness of and do more research on. The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the largest event out there that's used to raise awareness and fund so that we can support this cause and do more research on this disease. I would love to someday understand it better, as my grandma has Alzheimer's. This even that the Alzheimer's Association puts on is held every year across the nation. Volunteers are asked to come and help join in this fight against such a sad disease. What they've done is actually quite amazing...as they've raised over 225 million dollars in the past 18 years. To keep up this good work, The Alzheimer's Association needs Team Captains. Does being a team captain sound like something you'd be interested in doing? If so, then you should definitely look into it. What a great cause you'd be walking working for! Being a team captain is so very important to this cause! Without a Team Captain there would be no walk. The benefit of becoming one is that you are working with others to help fight this disease. As a leader you are building a drive in others to help fight against this disease as well. Each team that comes together means that we're one step closer to finding a cure. I think it's so important because it's something close to my heart with my grandma having it. It's a terrible disease, one that we need to find a cure for soon. Doing this memory walk is the best way to do that in my opinion.

PPP

I'm so excited that PPP is putting all these posts on here tonight. Working for PPP is wonderful...it's a great way to make some extra money and state my opinions on different topics and products. Thank you PPP for this opportunity.

Credit Cards

Are you in the market for a new credit card? Possibly something with low interest maybe? If so, then you should check out Mint, a low interest credit car with very competitive introductory rates and benefits!! I came across this credit card as I was browsing the web like I normally do and just wanted to share it with all of you in case you might be interested. I thought it seemed like a pretty good credit card, so take a look and see what you think. You can even check out their credit card application process.

Lots to do

I really haven't gotten much done today. I always have such a long list of things I need to get done, but it never fails that something comes up and I don't get it all done. Today I had quite a bit of work on the computer to do, as well as some cleaning around the house to do as well. Oh well, I guess there's always tomorrow.

Chantelle Bras

Chantelle Lingerie is a name that I hadn't really heard of until just recently, but after learning more about them I was quite impressed with the products they offer and the standard of quality they have created. They are the largest French intimate apparel company in the world, and are known by many women for their great fitting, and high quality intimate apparel. If you're someone who is looking for intimate apparel, like chantelle bras for instance, that offer comfort, style and quality, then you should definitely check out their site. I was quite impressed, and I'm sure you will be as well.

More Movement

The baby has really been moving a lot lately! I've noticed over the past week that I wake up around 2:30 and 4:30 with lots of movement going on. When I wake up for the second time I find that it's very hard to get back to sleep...sometimes a couple of hours. I'm glad the baby is so active though...it's so much fun to feel him/her move. Last night I was laying on the couch and all of a sudden the baby started turning and moving all over...my husband really enjoyed watching him/her move all around...as you could see it very well.

Car Repairs

My parents recently were down visiting my brother who lives about 2 hours from where we all live. His girlfriend lives down there in that city too...so they got to see her as well. Unfortunately, her weekend didn't end up going so well! Sunday morning she woke up to find the back window of her explore smashed out from someone throwing a rock through it! I just couldn't believe that someone would do that just because. They didn't steal anything or do any other harm to the vehicle...I guess they were just throwing rocks for fun. How sad!

Ultimate Yellow Pages

Have you ever wished that when you were searching for something online, that it could much simpler and less complicated? Well, now it can! Colizer, Inc recently announced that they are launching a new type of multi search engine called Radiux. A type of Ultimate Yellow Pages. Basically this search engine combines really popular searches like Google, eBay, Amazon, etc. It makes it easier for you to find all that you are looking for using one search engine. I thought this was a great idea and was happy to hear that there's such a thing out there for us to use. Take a look and see what you think.

Church

Church was kind of fun today...instead of it being the normal worship and message, the kids put on a little skit for the hour and lead worship. It was a nice change and it helped my husband and I see what a great children's program this church offers, which is very important to us now that we're starting a family. It was fun.

Christian Radio

I don't know about you, but I really enjoy listening to music while I am working on the computer. It just helps me enjoy what I'm doing so much more...do you know what I mean?! I'm sure that many of you out there like to do the same...but what kind of music do you listen to?! Maybe country, alternative, or Christian maybe?? My favorite is KTIS a Christian radio station that plays online. It's just so uplifting.

Find an Apartment

Have you ever been in the situation where you are searching for an apartment, but can't seem to find the right resource that makes it easy and less time consuming? I know I have!! That's why I wanted to share with you, ApartmentFinder.com. What I like best about this site is that they make it easy for you to search through thousands of apartment listings all over the country! They offer a map-based and keyword search option which allows you to find the information you're looking for quickly and easily. It's just such a convenient way to search for apartments...who wouldn't want to try something like this!?! Some newly added features to this site are the map based search, real time search results, faceted browsing, and much more. Next time you're in search for the perfect apartment, I urge you to check this site out first!

Dear Heavenly Father

I recently received the following prayer as a forward from a family member of mine. I really thought it was good and wanted to share it with my readers:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from Every sin and set us free. Amen!

Lab Band by JourneyLite

Journey Lite does Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, or bettern known as the LAP BAND System procedure. I'm sure many of you have heard of the LAPBAND?! It is done to help people lose weight, and overall improve their health and quality of life. I have learned a lot about this procedure simply by watching shows that discuss it on TV. What does it do you might be asking yourself?! Well, it basically decreases the amount of food that can be consumed, thus helping the patient to lose weight. You can learn more about the lapband procedure and Journey Lite on their site.

Cleaning

I've been cleaning much of the day, well when I wasn't on the computer working that is...and boy am I tired. Being 8 months pregnant and on my feet a lot really exhausts me after a while. I'm taking a break before I begin cleaning the kitchen. That's my last task, but my least favorite.

Stock Options

PowerOptions is a great tool for those interested in investing with stock options . It is a complete set of educational materials, and includes a customer service support number that you can call for free when you need help or answers. SmartSearchXL is also great, as it helps you to find, compare, analyze and make money on your trading!! You get SmartSearchXL through PowerOptions, and they are actually the one provider online that makes this possible. If you're interested in learning more you can go to their site. Through PowerOptions you can even try out the 14 day free trial offer. So what are you waiting for...head over there today and see what you think.

Apple Tree

The house that we just bought has an apple tree in the backyard. Some people might think this would be a pretty neat thing to have, but Scott is not liking it at all. It's located on a little hill in our yard, so when the apples fall off of it, they roll all over!! It's kind of fun because we see rabbits out there all the time eating the apples, but Scott doesn't like it because he feels like he's picking up apples every few days. I think someday we'll probably get rid of that tree...as it seems to be more of a hassle than it's worth.

Piano Moving

When I was younger I used to enjoy playing the piano from time to time. My parents used to tell me that when I had a place of my own, I could have the piano at my place. Well, now that Scott finally have our own house, we are planning on moving the piano up next weekend. It's quite the big piano, so we may be getting some movers to do it...but I can't wait!! It's going to look so nice in our new home.:) I'm excited!!

Radiator.com

If you're in to automotive stuff, then you might be interested in checking out Radiator.com. This is a great source for those looking for automotive radiators. Here you can actually find over 80,000 parts!! WOW! I thought that was quite the inventory. Since Honda is the largest engine manufacturer there is, this site keeps a full stock of those radiators, like the Accord Radiator for instance. Not only do they offer all of this, but they also have a full service site where you can find articles with information on radiators and cooling systems. You can learn more about Radiator.com by checking out their site today. I think you'll find it very useful and informative.

Boating

Scott and I were talking, and we may go boating tomorrow if the weather permits. I'm really looking forward to it as it is so relaxing and it's been quite some time since I've been able to just relax and enjoy the outdoors and the sun. We generally don't stay out too long...just enough to take a stroll around the lake and enjoy each other's company. I'm just hoping that it doesn't rain so that we can do that tomorrow afternoon some time.

Pregnancy Pictures

When Scott and I first found out I was pregnant, we decided that each week we were going to take a picture of my belly just to watch and see the growth over the 40 weeks of pregnancy. That was really a choice that we are so glad we made now that we only have a couple months to go. We love looking back on the pictures and seeing how much my belly has grown. It's such a fun experience, and documenting it by pictures will last us forever!! We started out with taking pictures from 4 weeks, and continue to take one each week. After we have the baby it will be fun to look back at all of the pictures.

Weddings

I just love weddings, don't you?!! It seems like these summer months are the best time for weddings...as that's normally when we get invited to the most. I suppose it's because of the wonderful weather and the ease of traveling for guests. Are you, or someone you know planning a wedding? If so, then you should check out the WeddingChannel.com. They're a great resource for both brides and grooms to go to to get help with planning their big day. They offer free planning tools, advice, photos, online registry options, and so much more! Check out this site today and see how much the WeddingChannel.com can help you with planning your big day.

Time flies when you're havin' fun!

Isn't it crazy how quickly time goes by?? Scott and I were just talking about how we can't believe that we've already been married for over two years now. We also can't believe that it's been over 5 years since we started dating and almost 13 years since we first met..way back when.:) Time just flies by when you're having fun!! :)

Drink Lots of Water

With the humidity and heat this summer, along with the fact that I'm quite pregnant...it seems that Scott and I go through our water like crazy these days. He likes to drink it when he gets home from work, because he's always hot and needs something to rehydrate him. And me, well I'm drinking it constantly from the moment I wake up in the morning until I go to sleep at night. We find that we're buying bottled water all the time...but I guess that's ok. I'd rather us be buying and drinking that, rather than pop.

HD Stock

TGIF

I'm pretty happy that today is Friday. Usually this is the day of the week that I look forward to most, because it means that Scott will have the weekend off so we can spend it together. It's nice to spend time together every chance we get, because once the busy season starts this fall...I won't see him a whole lot. I think we're going to try and get some more of the little things done on our house...and maybe even go boating tomorrow?! We'll see. :)

Green Energy

The following is a press release about the launch of green energy tariffs. British Gas has made the announcement of this green energy tariff, which will be the "greenest" out there. I didn't know much about until just recently when I came across this press release, but found it to be very informative and something many of my readers may enjoy learning more about. Take a moment and read the press release below:

BRITISH GAS LAUNCHES GREENEST ENERGY TARIFF

9 August 2007: British Gas has announced it is launching two new green energy tariffs, Zero Carbon, which will be the greenest tariff available on the domestic market and Future Energy. British Gas has launched the tariffs, in response to the increasing demand for green energy products.

Householders signing up to the Zero Carbon tariff will:
• reduce their household energy carbon emissions to zero through Kyoto compliant offset schemes which will meet the new Defra requirements
• help fund a direct increase in investment in renewable energy generated in the UK
• contribute to the new British Gas green fund which will:
o invest in developing new renewable technologies such as wave power
o oversee a programme to help schools in the UK reduce their CO2 emissions

Gearóid Lane, Managing Director British Gas New Energy said,”Our new tariff responds to consumer demand for truly green energy solutions. It is essential that customers have confidence in green energy tariffs and that their credibility is not damaged by tariffs that claim to be green but in reality do not deliver any incremental environmental benefits. Green tariffs are moving from niche to mainstream products and we’re leading the industry by offering a tariff that will do more for the environment than any other product currently available.”

Under the government’s Renewables Obligation (RO), electricity suppliers in the UK are already required to produce an increasing percentage of their electricity through methods such as wind farms which, unlike traditional power plants, produce zero carbon emissions. For 2007/2008 this figure is set at 7.9%.

In a recent report, the National Consumer Council (NCC) raised concerns that some energy suppliers are packaging electricity which is produced under the RO scheme as “green”, yet it delivers no additional environmental benefits. The NCC called on energy suppliers to take steps beyond their legal requirements and offer green energy tariffs that provide genuine additional environmental benefits, in particular CO2 emissions reduction.

British Gas worked with Global Action Plan and The Climate Group’s “We’re in this Together” campaign to develop Zero Carbon which goes further than any other green tariff in meeting these requirements offering consumers the only zero carbon option on the market.

The tariff carries a premium of £84 per year, reflecting the higher cost of producing energy through lower carbon emission schemes.

Virginia Graham, Chair of Global Action Plan, said, “The British Gas Zero Carbon tariff delivers on all three of the essential requirements of a green tariff which are: additionality, transparency and verifiability. As such it is a very welcome new offering in the market. Consumers signing up to the tariff can be confident that they are getting 12 per cent more renewable energy than they would otherwise have got. The carbon emissions from their electricity and gas will also be offset with emissions reductions from projects accredited by the United Nations.”

Zero Carbon is one of the first initiatives launched through the ‘We’re in this Together’ campaign, which was launched in April 07 as an alliance of some of the UK’s biggest brands who are all working to help their customers reduce their impact on the climate.

Dr Steve Howard, CEO of The Climate Group and founder of ‘We’re in this Together’ said, “We’re committed to offering people ways to make a real impact on climate change through Together.com. We’ve worked with British Gas to ensure that Zero Carbon is a genuine step forward in delivering more environmental benefits than any other tariff currently available.”

British Gas’s second green energy tariff, Future Energy, offers an alternative green electricity tariff at a premium of just £20 per year. Customers signing up to this tariff will contribute to a green fund which will provide solar panels and other renewable energy technologies to UK schools. Money from the fund will also be invested in development of future renewable technologies and sources.

To sign up customers can call British Gas on 0845 604 0055 or visit www.britishgas.co.uk

Premonition

A while back, Scott and I saw the movie Premonition. We really enjoyed it, as it's one of those movies that kept us on the edge of our seats and wondering what will happen next. We were excited when it came out on video, but never really rented it. Scott knew that I was wanting to see it again sometime, and he came home early from work yesterday having rented it. We had a fun "date night". He's so thoughtful.:)

Credit Cards

Has anyone else noticed how easily a credit card is used these days. Part of the reason is because they are given out so easily. When I was in college I couldn't believe all the credit cards I was offered. Thankfully I had been raised to understand the dangers of credit cards and why using them responsibly was so important. I definitely think that credit cards can be used in an emergency situation....but it's important that the credit card users always know how they are going to pay that money back in a timely manner. I've always made sure to use my credit card sparingly and it's worked out great for me. If people begin to allow themselves to use credit cards flexibly...it's very easy to get into debt and have their finances go out of control! That's when credit counseling is necessary.

If you, or someone you know is looking to get a credit card. You must always read the fine print! There are traps in the fine print that you must be aware of before you decide to use a credit card from certain lenders. For instance, watch for those words "o% APR" and "fixed APR". The words in bold print like this aren't always what you think they mean...so it's very important to ALWAYS read the fine print. There's more information about the traps that can be found in the fine print of credit card terms and conditions, and information on how you can learn how to choose a credit card on the Careonecredit.com website. Check them out for more information.

30 weeks pregnant

I had my 30 week appointment today and it is really weird how fast this pregnancy is going! Today I had to set up my appointments for the next ten weeks...this baby will be here before we know it and I can't wait!:) It's so fun to go and hear the heartbeat every couple of weeks. At first I didn't know if I'd enjoy going this often, but I really am not minding it at all.

Stormy Weather

Most nights I don't mind when it rains. In fact, usually it helps me to sleep better. Last night was a little different though. It rained and rained...but the thunder was so loud, and the lightening so bright that it made it almost impossible to get any sleep at all!! We even had our fan on just to block out the noise and it was still SO loud. Now this morning all is calm, and the roads are just a little wet, but I am exhausted. It's going to be one of those nights when I go to bed early I think to catch up on the sleep I lost last night.

Leftovers are great!

I love leftovers!! I am home most days and when Scott's not here, I don't feel like making a big meal just for me. Leftovers are the perfect choice for lunch most days...unless Scott takes it to work.:) With there being only two of us here, there always seems to be leftovers with each supper that we make. Thank goodness for that, because this makes my lunch planning much easier!

Have you ever considered a calorie counter with your diet? I'm sure many of you have, as this is a great way to help you watch calories more easily and lose wait more quickly. It's a Bull's Eye is a site that I recently came across that explains a calorie counter that I thought was pretty neat. It's a small product, that reminds me of a calculator. It makes it easy to calculate calories, fat, carbs and so much more. It's quite the little machine in my opinion. There's 2000 foods programmed in the calorie counter as well...and users have the option to add more if they don't find the food they're looking for. If you're interested in learning more about this calorie counter, check out this site today. This is a paid post.

Lots of movement

Pregnancy has been a lot of fun lately...as the baby has been moving around like crazy!!:) It's neat to see him/her moving and actually rolling around. Scott likes to see and feel the baby moving as well...he thinks it's so neat and asks me to explain to him what it feels like all the time.:) My parents were even able to feel the baby moving yesterday, which they thought was pretty cool!!

Orlando Hotel

I've written many times about Orlando and how it's probably one of my favorite places to go on vacation. It's also one of my most treasured family vacations from when I was a child. It's a place I want to be sure to take my own children one day...as I think they will really enjoy all that it has to offer. Next time I travel to Orlando, I'm going to be sure and utilize all that Orlando.com has to offer it's users. They have very affordable prices on hotels, car rentals, even flights! I was even happy to find that they had a travel guide with information on entertainment, dining, and so much more! It's been a while since the last time I was able to go to Orlando, so this travel guide will come in very handy. The next time you're looking for an orlando hotel, check out their site and see what they have to offer you.

Golf Tournament

Today my husband has a golf tournament with his place of employment. He's very excited, as they get to golf 18 holes. He was just telling me how he wishes that my dad could have taken part in this event...as they both love golf and golfing together. Scott thought it was a tournament for all people, but turns out it's just one for the people he works with. Oh well, my dad will be up here to take part in another golf tournament with Scott.

Psoriasis treatment

The Blue Lagoon is a clinic in Iceland where you will find natural treatment of psoriasis. This natural treatment consists of bathing in Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater. I thought this was pretty cool. How nice would it be to be in the natural environment and enjoy the fresh air and water?! Sounds good to me. What's so special about this water you might ask? Well, the silica mineral cleanses your skin and exfoliates it. This mineral also helps with blood circulation as well.
Another type of therapy is the UVB light therapy. This is great for people with scalp psoriasis. Are you interested in learning more about the Blue Lagoon - Clinic? If so, then check out their site today. This is a paid post.

Birdbath

We now have a really neat birdbath in the backyard of our house and it's so much fun to sit and watch the birds bathe. It's been so hot and humid lately that there have been quite a few birds enjoying the water. I just love having things like that around so I can enjoy watching nature.

So surreal

I still can't believe that we're finally moved into our new home. It's just such a surreal feeling to be moved into a home that we own! After renting for years and years, it's such a great feeling.:) We're so excited to be in our house and do the things to it that we want to over the years.

Halloween Movie

I think one of my all time favorite scary movies is Jaws. To some this may not seem like a scary movie, but to me, well it gets me every time. One of the biggest things about this movie and other scary movies that I notice is the sound effects and/or music that they play. The infamous music that goes along with the Jaws movie gives me goose bumps because you just know that something is going to happen when that music plays. It really adds to the intensity of the movie. How about you? What is your favorite movie? Some of you may really enjoy the Halloween movies that have come out over the years. If this is you, then you will be happy to know that there is a new Halloween the movie coming out August 31st, written and directed by Rob Zombie. Even if you are thinking to yourself...well this is probably going to be like the other Halloween movies, think again and check out the preview to this movie. I think the angle Rob Zombie brings to the movie will really make it one of a kind and something none of us would expect. I think it will probably be even scarier and more intense than any of the other movies. If you're interested in learning more about Halloween the movie, you can check out their website today. Done with Class

Our class went really well last night. We were happy to have had the chance to sit in on these classes to help prepare us for the birth of our child. Last night we got a tour of the maternity ward and got to see the rooms and monitors and things. It's pretty nice up there, and they have a really nice place for grandparents to sit and wait too. Overall we really enjoyed these classes and are happy we went.

As a teacher, I know how important it is for children to feel successful in the different subject areas that we cover in school. I'm looking forward to our last Childbirth preparation class tonight! It should be a fun one, as we actually get to go up to the birthing floor and take a tour. My husband and I have never had the opportunity to do that yet, so that should be pretty great.:) We're so excited for our little one to arrive...only a few more months.
