Getting the Gear

My husband and I are not much of an outdoorsy couple. If there isn't a Country Inn & Suites involved we don't go. Although my husband knows quite a bit about camping gear, because of a college class that he took that dealt completely with camping and being outdoors. So I would feel completely comfortable with going camping with my husband know that he has the experience that he does.

Lots to do

Christmas

Even though Christmas Day is over with, we still have two more Christmas's to attend. We have a Christmas with Scott's dad's side on Friday, and then one on my dad's side next week. We had Scott's mom's Christmas and two of my my Christmas's earlier in the week and now a couple more yet to come. It's just nice to have them spread out a little.

Shopping

Yesterday was a fun, but long day. Scott and I had some gift cards and money from Christmas that we wanted to use before he has to go back to work next week. We have Kaelyn now, so going shopping for the day isn't always an easy task. Thankfully it went very smoothly. We left right around the time that Kaelyn takes her afternoon nap, so she slept for much of the time that we were gone. She was getting tired of being in her car seat by the time we got back home...but she did VERY well!

Things to do

I suppose I better get to some of the work that needs to be done while Kaelyn is napping. I really would like to get some work done on the computer today, but we'll just have to see how the day goes. The cleaning and bills are more important at this point. Hopefully I will get to my other work later in the day when Scott gets home from work. That would be nice.

Never Enough Time

There never seems to be enough time in a day. I always have a long list of things to get done, and usually never even get close to getting it all done. I have cleaning to do, laundry, bills, etc...and I just have to take it one thing at a time I guess. It just gets a bit overwhelming when there's so much to do and not enough time in a day to get it all done. I'm sure many people feel like this from time to time.

Time Off

I'm really looking forward to Scott having some much needed time off this holiday season. With his job he keeps very busy and it's difficult for him to take much time off. He's taking off a week and a half over the holidays and I'm really looking forward to him being around to spend some time with the family. I know he's really looking forward to it as well! It will be a great holiday season with us all together.:)

What a blessing

What a blessing children are!! I look at Kaelyn and still can't believe that she's here. It's so amazing how God gives us the gift of children. It's so fun to watch her change and grow each and every day. She is now smiling and cooing so much...we just love it!! We don't want her to grow up too fast, but we do look forward to all of the great milestones ahead. For instance...we can't wait until she reaches out when we pick her up...just little things like that are what we enjoy most!

Great Little Girl

Kaelyn was having a few fussy evenings there for a while...but she has really snapped out of that the last few nights. She has been really happy and content for most of the day and night. In fact, last night she enjoyed spending some time with her daddy and then went to bed around 10:30 or so. She woke up at 6:45 just to feed for a little bit and then went back to sleep until 10:00 this morning. She's such a great baby!!

Growth Spurt??

Kaelyn has been more fussy than usual the past day or so. From what I hear, when babies go through growth spurts, they can be extra fussy. The doctor said that she'd probably be going through a growth spurt right around now...so that would make sense. Hopefully it doesn't last too long though...as I hate to see her unhappy throughout the day.

Zoe

We were able to go back and spend some time with my parents last weekend. We sure had a nice time with them....as we always do when we're back to see them! I feel kind of bad for their doggy though. She's just not sure what to think of our little girl. She's never been around a baby before...so she is very nervous around her. We don't know quite what to do to make her feel more comfortable. She's just so curious and always looking in her playpen and trying to lick her. I think she's also wishing she got a little more attention while Kaelyn was around. She's a spoiled doggy and not used to someone else getting the attention.

Florida Vacation

Someday my husband and I really want to plan a vacation to Orlando Florida. He has never been there and neither has our daughter. I have been there though and absolutely love it!! Always Dark Out

IT seems to be getting dark earlier and earlier, and staying dark later and later. My husband doesn't like this because he feels like he goes to work in the dark and comes home in the dark. It's not much fun when you don't really get to enjoy the daylight much during the week. I guess that's how winter is here where we live though. Soon enough it will be spring and the hours will get better again.

Picture Technology

Speaking of ordering pictures...don't you think it's wonderful how easy it is to do these days. It used to be that you had to carry your film into the photo shop...and then pick it up days later. Now, with the digital technology that we have, we can submit our photos online and have them ready to pick up at a Walmart or something just hours later!! I think this is wonderful!! Technology is sure great, isn't it?!?!

I have been to Las Vegas, but my husband never has. That's why sometime I'd like for us to plan a little vacation to go there. My husband has heard about all of the amazing Las Vegas Hotels and all of the fun things there is to do there...so I know he'd enjoy going someday. Ever since Kaelyn was born, I feel like the time I have to do things around the house is limited. She is my full time job now, and I spend much of my day with her. New Mommy!

I recently was talking with my friend who just had a baby boy. He is only a week old, but is already sleeping pretty much through the entire night!! I told her I thought that was great and amazing!! The new parents are getting some much needed rest, and they are appreciating how good their baby has been so far! The new mommy was also telling me how much she is enjoying staying at home with him and watching him grow and change each day. I think that's great that she's staying at home and raising her kids.

Scott and I were pretty excited to have our first family picture taken of me, him and Kaelyn since we brought her home from the hospital. We've decided to put these pics on our Christmas card so everyone can meet our precious little girl, Kaelyn!! It's still so neat to think that we are now a family of three!! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby and to have started our family. We just love this next stage in our lives...every moment is one to remember and cherish!

Very Cold Weather

Well, it looks like the sun is shining, but it's still bitter cold out there today!! I like it that it's not snowing or icing out, but I could definitely do without all of this snow!! I feel bad for Scott, because he's usually outside shoveling most days in this cold weather. He handles it pretty well, but he has to be freezing by the time he comes inside. He also works outdoors a lot at work...so that must not be too much fun either! I'm hoping it warms up a bit...these one digit temps just aren't making winter very enjoyable.

Babies

It seems that as the months past I learn of more and more people that I know are having babies. Recently a few of good friends of mine both had babies. One had a girl and the other two had boys. I wish that we all lived closer to each other, as our kids are all pretty much the same age and I would love for our kids to grow up together. I guess you never know what can happen...maybe someday we'll end up living closer to each other. We'll just have to see.

Lots to do!

I don't know if anyone else can relate...but it seems I wake up each day with a long list of things that i need to get done. Usually it consists of cleaning, laundry, bills, etc. Lately I've especially been needing to get our Christmas cards finished up and sent out but that just doesn't seem to be happening too quickly. I'm really going to have to try and make an effort to do that before I do anything else today so it gets to people before Christmas! :)

Growing up, we as a family took a few trips. Jenna's family went on vacations pretty much every year. The weather was very warm at the time however. They saw many sites and walked down the strip to see all of the high rise hotels. So many lights and noises. She'll never forget it.

Weekend

Boy, the weekends sure do fly by. We went and stayed with my parents a night and then went to church with them on Sunday. It was fun to visit our old church where we grew up. Many had not yet got a chance to meet Kaelyn, so that made it extra special. I think we will get the chance to go back and visit around Christmas time as well....so that should be fun!! :)

Capresso

My husband knows how much I love espressos and recently suggested that we get one. I've been looking all around and so has he, and both of us agree that a capresso Espresso machine would be great!! Rehab Search

I have never personally gone through an addiction treatment program of any kind. However, from what I've learned in talking with other who have...it seems as though deciding on a treatment program is not an easy decision. In fact, it can be quite a stressful one and quite overwhelming. There are so many rehabilitation centers out there, and it's difficult for people to find the one that's right for them. Since there's no such thing as a "one size fits all" program...searching around for the right one is crucial! This can make things very stressful and the search time consuming.

Weather

Hopefully the weather stays nice this weekend, because Scott and I are planning on going back to see my parents and taking Kaelyn to the church we grew up in. We're looking forward to introducing her to everyone and are just hoping that the weather will cooperate so we can go. Lately it's been snowing and icing off and on...but today was really nice...so we're hoping this weather will continue through the weekend. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Nice weather?!?

The weatherman had originally said that this weekend wasn't supposed to be very nice this weekend...but now it's looking like it won't be as bad as everyone thought. It sounds like there's only about 10% chance that it will snow tomorrow...and then Sunday is supposed to be nice. Hopefully that's the way it ends up...because we don't need any more snow around here or any more bad weather. I'd like it if it was just nice out for a change.

Relaxing Night

Tonight will be nice just to be home. The weather isn't supposed to be very nice, and with all the running around we've been doing lately...it will be nice just have a night at home with Kaelyn and Scott. Baby Bouncy Seat

Kaelyn has lots of nice toys and things, but one of her favorite things is to sit in the bouncy seat that we have. She enjoys sitting there, watching the lights flash on it and listening to the music. She doesn't spend a whole lot of time in it, but every once in a while we'll put her in it since she enjoys it so much. We've tried to put her in her swing a few times, but so far she doesn't seem to like it as much as the bouncy seat. Hopefully with time she'll enjoy it more.

Dr Appt. Tomorrow

Tomorrow Kaelyn has her one month doctor's appointment. Scott and I just can't believe she's already one month. Scott's happy because he's going to be able to make it to the appointment with me. He hasn't been able to meet the pediatrician yet, so he's happy that he's going to be able to be there. That's one nice thing about this time of year...it's pretty easy for him to get off from work now that the snow is on the ground and the ground is pretty much frozen.

Christmas Time

I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner. It doesn't hardly seem possible that it could already be that time of year. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone. Even just the past few months has gone pretty fast. Kaelyn is already a month old which is just amazing to me!! What a fun holiday season this is going to be with her this year!! I can't wait.

Enjoying our day

We sure got a lot of snow this weekend. The weatherman said we would, but I didn't know that we'd get so much! It was actually icing for most of the day, which did not make driving very much fun! We had to run out just for a couple things and we decided after that, that we'd stay indoors for the rest of the day. It was nice just to be home and enjoy the day as a family.

Christmas Decorations

Well, this past week we finally got up all of our Christmas decorations. It feels so nice to have everything up. It really feels like Christmas is almost here. I love having the Christmas tree up with all the lights. I also enjoy looking outside and seeing all of the houses around with lots of Christmas lights on them. What a nice time of year!!

New Family Room

My husband and I bought our house a few months ago. One thing we'd like to do in the near future is begin redoing our basement. It's almost completely unfinished, so we'd really like to make part of it into a nice family room. My husband would love to get a nice plasma television down there at some point. I think it would be nice to get one of those tv lifts for it. A tv lift would really look nice down there.

Holiday Season

With Thanksgiving behind us...that leaves us the big holiday that many of us look forward to!! Christmas of course! With Christmas comes a time to celebrate and spend time with family. It also means it's time to shop. This year I not only have my husband to shop for, but also my daughter. I know that my husband would absolutely love some tools and other things from Home Depot, so I'm definitely going to be shopping there for him. Our daughter is still very young, but I know that I'm going to want to buy her some clothes and probably some toys. Kaelyn

I can't believe how much our daughter has changed over the past four weeks. She was born four weeks ago tomorrow...and when I compare the pics that were taken when she was first born and the pics that we've taken more recently she hardly looks the same. She's filled out so much and is just looking more like a baby and not a newborn. I've loved every stage she's gone through so far, and can't wait to watch her continue to change and grow as the weeks go on!

HDTV

With Christmas around the corner I am sure many people are looking into buying an HDTV. This seems to be a very popular item this year...as it's also something that my husband is wanting pretty badly. I've been searching the net and can't find much of what he's looking for. Well, that is until I came across Krillion. House Work

I really should limit my time on the computer today...as I must get some things done around the house while Kaelyn is taking her nap. Being a newborn her nap schedule is still somewhat unpredictable, so I like to get as much done as I can while she sleeps. She sleeps so much at night...like 12-6:30 or so that during the day she's up more and more. That means I must manage the time that I have very well.

Meeting the Family

Thanksgiving was sure fun this year! It was our daughter's first Thanksgiving, so many people had not gotten to meet her yet. It was fun to watch all of the aunts, uncles, and cousins enjoying holding her and getting to know her. I can't wait until Christmas as she will be a little older and awake a little bit more I'm sure. Gosh, speaking of Christmas...wow...it will be here before we know it!!

Colon Cleanse

Today you find more and more people looking into healthier choices. Something I've been hearing more about in the recent months is colon cleanse. Coffee

Fun Night

Tonight we're going out to eat with Scott's mom and sister. Lately Scott has been working quite late at night, but tonight he's going to try and make sure he's off early so we can all go together. I'm looking forward to it...as we don't get out much now that Kaelyn is here. I don't like to take her out too much...as she is still so little and the weather is getting colder and colder by the day.

Sleet

Today is a much nicer day than yesterday. When we got out of church yesterday it was sleeting here where we live. Sleet is one of the yuckiest kinds of weather. Snow is probably preferred over sleet, just because sleet is wet and can really make things quite slick outside. Thankfully we got to spend most of our day at home. That's always nice when the weather isn't too nice outside. Thankfully today is much nicer. It's still cold, but there's no sleet or snow.

I love the convenience of being able to have credit cards as well as a debit card for our checking account. It's rare that my husband or I have a checkbook on hand, so being able to have a card that allows to take money right out of our checking account or savings account is very convenient! Our bank is currently putting a new program into place where the debit cards will now have ID pics on them. I think this will help to improve the cards even more to ensure that only the owner can use it.

Aches and Pains

Parents

My parents on their way to see my new little nephew Emry. They should arrive there tomorrow. They are so excited to meet him. Everyone has been waiting for his arrival. He's a big boy at 9 pounds 21 inches. He's a cutie.

Our church recently sent us a letter in the mail congratulating us on the birth of our daughter. They are wanting to honor her the next time we're in church with a flower. Scott's going to see if he can get this Sunday off from work so we can go.

The Mist

I'm sure almost everyone has heard of Stephen King. Many people have probably seen many of his movies or read his books as well. He is known for his creativity in making the scariest movies of all time!! One of Stephen King's movies that I really like is Shawshank Redemption. I think this is probably one of my favorite movies of his, because although it's not overly scary....the story line is GREAT!! I could watch this movie over and over and it would still have me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what's going to happen next. I really like movies like this, and that's why it's probably one of my favorite movies! He's had many great movies over the years, and soon there will be another one coming out. November 21st, The Mist by Stephen King will be coming out and I'm sure many people are already standing in line to get tickets!! From the things I've read and the research I've done...this is supposed to be quite the movie! It will definitely have you on the edge of your seat...so if that's the type of movie you enjoy....you should definitely check it out. Emry is Here!

Emry William is finally here!! Kaelyn was born a couple of weeks ago...and that's when Emry was to be born too. However, he had his own plans in mind and decided to wait a while to show his cute little face!! We're sure excited that he's finally here and so are his parents!! The holidays will be so much fun this year having two little babies around!! I can't wait. I'm sure we'll be taking LOTS of pics.

Dogsitting

My parents are heading down to Texas in a few days to meet my brothers new baby boy. They are so excited to be grandparents for the first time, twice!! Since they're going to Texas, they needed a place for Zoe to stay. I said she could stay here...but since Zoe is still a little unsure about Kaelyn...they thought it would be better for her to go and spend some time with my brother's girlfriend. I would have gladly taken her, but know that it's going to be nice to not have to worry about her being here and worry about taking care of Kaelyn as well. I'm sure Zoe will have a great time!!

Zoe

While my parents were here over the past week...they brought their dog Zoe too. She is a SUPER sweet dog...but is used to getting all the attention, so she was not used to a little baby being around. I didn't really know what to expect from her, but knew that it would be difficult for her to adjust. She really did a good job...she just gets nervous around Kaelyn and doesn't know what to think. She gets overly excited and just isn't the best when she's around. We had to keep her separated from Kaelyn most of the time. Once Kaelyn is a bit older I think Zoe and she will love playing together though. :)

Lots of Pics

I am the type of person who really enjoys taking pictures, but don't get a lot of time to do it. Well, that is until Kaelyn came along. :) Now, between the pictures that my parents took and the pics I've been taking there are more than I think I've ever seen taken just over a weeks time!! I just love having all the pics though. What a great way to make memories and to capture all of the things that she does. For instance, we got a picture of her sucking her thumb for the first time!! It's SO cute!:)

So Cute!

As I sit here and type this, I am watching my wonderful husband hold our new daughter!! I know I've said it before, but I just LOVE seeing him as a daddy!! He's SOO good with her. He loves to just lay on the couch with her on his chest. They are so cute together.:) I've enjoyed taking pics of them, and plan to continue to do so. It's especially so cute because she really is a daddy's girl and just loves spending time with him.:)

Busy Season

I feel bad for Scott. With Kaelyn here now, he's really wanting the busy season to be done with so he can be home more. Since the weather has been so nice, he's been staying at work a lot longer. I feel bad for him, because this not only cuts out on the time he gets to spend here at home with Kaelyn and I, but also causes him to be VERY tired at night. I can't wait for this season to be done with so he can take some time off and be home for a change.

New Shows

I feel like I get some time each night to watch a little TV....but I'm always amazed at all the previews of shows that I see when I watch TV that I've never heard of before. It seems that there is always at least one that is new to me. I guess this is good, as it brings variety to the nightly television shows that are on. I'm just always surprised that there are so many different types of shows for people to watch.

Weather

I can't believe the change in weather. It seems that last week it was SOOOO cold out, and now this week the days are actually a bit warmer. At night it still gets very cold, but the days warm up a bit. This is ok...except for the fact that it extends Scott's busy season out even more. I think deep down he's hoping the ground will freeze soon so that the busy season will be over for this year. We'll just have to see what happens.

Our Daughter

As we have more and more time with our daughter, we get to know her little personality more and more. We also get to admire all her little features on her face...which is so much fun!! We've learned that she has a dimple on one cheek and that she has the CUTEST facial expressions that she makes with her lips!! I just love watching her!! I knew I'd love having a baby...but the joy that she brings both Scott and I is just incredible.

Lots of Company

This weekend was sure busy. I can't believe that it's already here and gone. Time went so quickly because we were not only busy with Kaelyn...but also had company stopping by. It's really nice that people have wanted to come see Kaelyn....she has been getting so spoiled with love and attention! It's such a fun time. It's been hard for me to get out much so it's nice that people have been able to stop by off and on.

Self Defense Products

In today's world there is the concern for our personal safety. Now that I have a child besides I think I'll be looking into some of the self defense products that are out there. They have all kinds of things for adults and now there are even products for children's protection. My Grammy recently gave me a signal transmitter that a child can wear. When the child travels more then 30 feet away I would be aware of it. It sets off a beep as a warning. It is also very cute and child friendly. I'm going to have to give it a try.

What a nice week

It's sure been a nice week having my parents here to help out with things. Kaelyn and I came home from the hospital a week ago today. She's been such a wonderful baby, but has kept me very busy...so it was nice having them here to help with the cleaning, baking and even taking care of Kaelyn some. I'm going to be kinda bummed when they leave today...as then it is just me here to do most everything since Scott is in his busy season of work. I know that they have to get going though, and understand that they have jobs to get back to and a grandson to see down in Texas soon. :) They'll be back soon to visit I'm sure....so that's good!!

Math Tutors

I grew up in a home with two brothers. I know I have heard my mother say that each of us kids are all quite different. I can see that now that I am older. We all three have different interests and personalities. While going through the school years it was evident that some subjects were easier for some and others more difficult. Baking Week

This week has gone by so fast. It is busy season at work for Scott so he isn't able to be home very much. He really hates that when we have just had our first baby. Kaelyn is only 1 week old. She is the sweetest. My mom has been here helping me out this week and she decided to surprise Scott and bake him up some pumpkin bars. He really likes them. That was sure nice.

Baking

I don't know about you, but for anyone who likes to bake an electric mixer is a must!! The Hamilton Beach® and Eclectrics® Mixer is the one that everyone must check out. I would especially like this mixer for preparing one of my favorite family recipes...pumpkin bars. These bars are so special to me because I grew up eating them and still do to this day!! Everyone who eats the bars just loves them...making them even better to eat and share with others. For anyone interested, the recipe is:
2C Sugar
4 eggs
3/4 C oil
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinn.
15 oz can pumpkin
2C flour
greased and floured bar pan
mix all ingredients and bake at 325 for 25 minutes.

November

Wow, I can't believe it's already almost mid November!! Time just goes so quickly. Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas. What a fun time of year. We're especially excited that we get the chance to celebrate the holidays this year with our new daughter!! It will be so much fun. I can't wait!! I'm sure it will come very quickly and be here before we know it.

Technology

Technology is so cool these days. I can't believe how advanced everything has gotten. It seems with every year there is more and more advancements made to help make our lives a little more easy. For instance, I remember learning about fiber optic cables in college and thought that this topic was very interesting. I don't know about you, but even for someone like me who isn't always very knowledgeable about technology...I love learning about new things and ways that it can help us in our day to day lives.

Will I know??

All I've read and heard throughout my pregnancy is that the number one question that first time moms have is: "will I know when go into labor". It sounds like a silly question, but being someone who's pregnant for the first time and due with our baby at any moment...it's definitely one that passes through my mind as well. Whenever people here you ask this question...they say, "you will just know". I am sure after having the baby, I will say yeah..."I definitely shouldn't have worried about that because I knew for sure when I was going into labor"...but never having gone through it before I just can't help but wonder "if I will truly know". I guess I just have to keep watching for the signs that everyone speaks of and hope that helps me know when it is time.:)

Meeting our little one...

Well, here we are...less than 24 hours until I get induced. We're SO excited and can't believe that tomorrow morning...bright and early...we will be heading to the hospital!! I'm not really looking forward to it...but Scott and I really need to go and get some groceries tonight. Cell Phones

What would we do without cell phones?!? I often ask myself this question and don't know what we did without them in the past. For my husband and I we use them as our main phone line and it works out pretty well. Most everyone is with our same carrier so pretty much every call we make is free! I can't imagine what it would be like without our cell phones. I have mine wherever I go!!

It's CoLd!!

Lately it's seemed colder in our house than it has outside!! I don't know why this is, but it's really not fun to be in a house that's so cold all the time. I haven't really wanted to turn on the heat all that much, because I know that outside it's not that cold...upper 60's I think. This morning I finally gave in and turned on the heat. Once it warmed up I turned it back off though...as I could tell I was then going to get way too warm. It feels perfect in here now that the cold is gone. Hopefully it stays that way?!

Halloween Costumes

I love this time of year. I mean, I'm not the type of person that really gets into Halloween or anything...but it does bring back some fun memories of trick or treating with my family. The one thing I always remember having to do was bundling up really warm. During this time of year here where we live...it gets VERY cold, especially at night. We would have to wear our winter jackets and sometimes snowpants under our costume. It made for a pretty bulky look...but we managed and stayed warm.haha

It sure turned out to be another beautiful day out there!! I kind of thought it looked like it was going to be cold and cloudy this morning...but now it is warming up and the sun is shining. What a great day to be posting. I hadn't had the chance to sit down at the computer much today...but boy am I glad that I did. Growing up I always thought it was cool to have a Dad that was a police officer...and still do! He was involved in all kinds of things with his job...one of which was a tacttical type of team. I always thought it was neat that he was so heroic...as I feel police officers and those involved on these types of teams have to be! It was really neat when he'd be getting ready to go to work, because he would transform from just being my dad to my dad in a uniform. I don't know if any one else can relate to this...but I always thought this was so cool. His police gear was always just so fascinating to my brothers and I. What a busy day

Do you ever have those kinds of days when you have so much to do that you hardly find a moment to sit down and rest. I am having one of those days today and it's a bit stressful. As much as I know I need to find time to rest, especially with being due with this baby any day now...I can't help but make sure that I get all of the bills done and the chores done around the house. I did manage to take a minute and eat some lunch...but tonight I'm really going to need to make sure that I sit down and relax for a bit. I don't want to lose all of my energy before the baby even arrives.

Cancer

It's sad, but it seems today the word "cancer" is heard way too much!! I remember my mom telling me once that several years ago you barely ever heard the word. If you did, it was known as the "big C" and many thought it was a death sentence. Now we hear it more and more, but with a much more positive outlook. There has been so much done in the medical field to find cures and treatments for different kinds of cancers. It's amazing that so many people are fighting this and moving on with their lives cancer free!! I just think it's wonderful that no matter if you have Mesothelioma cancer, breast cancer, or something else...the future is much brighter now.

Furniture

Ever since we moved into our new house, Scott and I have lots of ideas of the things we could as far as home improvement projects. We know that it will be many, many years before we are able to do everything...but it's still fun to discuss and talk about every once in a while. We want to do so many things, ranging from smaller things like getting some more contemporary bedroom furniture to some bigger things like siding our house one day!! I guess it will all take time, and that's ok. It's fun to have a house with potential to do the things we want at some point.

I don't know about you, but I just love finding new blogs out there on the web to read. So many people blog these days, and it's just so interesting to me to read about the things they write about. It's fun because there's really no one blog that is like any other. It's fun to read those blogs that are more personal too...not just the blogs that only talk about one topic or only do sponsored posts. I enjoy variety and hearing all that people have to say.:)

Cleaning

I really don't want to, but I need to do some more cleaning around the house. Knowing that the baby could come at any time, it really has me wanting to make sure that everything is perfectly clean. I think part of it is just my nesting stage that I'm going through, but I also just like having everything in order. Maybe I'll get Scott to help me with some of this when he gets home from work later. He's always great to help with whatever I need.:)

Needing to relax

I've been so busy with working online and getting things done around the house that I haven't even had the chance to relax and enjoy any of my weekend so far. Wedding Today

My parents are headed to a wedding this afternoon. I was thinking what a beautiful Fall day it is to have a wedding. The sun is shining and the leaves are turning colors....so pretty!! I'm sure it will make for some really great outdoor pictures for the bride and groom. Where we live you never know what the weather will be like this time of year, so I'm glad that they got such a nice day for their wedding! I'm sure they're very pleased.:)

I want a pool...

I don't know about you, but I have always thought it would be pretty cool to have a pool in our yard!! The only problem with that, is that living in the midwest, we don't have many months where a pool would get much use. Those who live in the south though probably would get a lot of use out of having their own personal pool. I know if I lived near Mesa Arizona I would definitely be looking into having a pool built for me by Cameo Pools and their arizona swimming pool contractors. Great Grandparents

It's so cool that soon my parents will become grandparents for the first time and second time. I say that because both my brother's wife and I are expecting our first babies. I love seeing how excited my parents are about becoming grandparents...they can't wait!! I know they'll be such wonderful grandparents...I can't wait for our little one's to meet them:)

For sure only 5 days left...

It's pretty exciting to think that I only have 5 days left for sure until the birth of our little one. I mean, technically my due date is tomorrow...but if the baby does not come by Thursday, then I will be induced. Although this wasn't the way I had planned for things to go...I am really excited that next weekend we will have our little one here at home with us. I CAN'T wait!! It's so exciting. I hope if the baby doesn't come by then that this week goes by super quick.haha

I can't imagine where we'd be with out our cell phones, can you?!? I mean, I know we went years and years without them....but now having them I'm not sure how people ever did it. I don't know why, I was just thinking about this today and am so thankful for this invention.

Going through the water

Boy, do we go through the water in a week. We usually go through more than 48 bottles of water in less than two weeks. I think part of it is me being pregnant and making sure that I'm constantly drinking water throughout the day...but I still can't believe how much water we go through!! I've never really sat down and figured it out...but I have a feeling that buying all of that bottled water sure adds up. I don't think i want to know how much we spend on it each month..haha.:)

Squirrel Food

I was looking out the window today and was noticing that we need to get some more squirrel food. Halloween Movies

My husband and I were flipping through the channels last night and we noticed all the Halloween movies are starting to be played. We aren't a couple who gets into Halloween much, and we definitely don't get into these spooky, scary Halloween movies. We just kept flipping by them...and were kind of annoyed with all of the channels that were playing them. It made it difficult to find a show that was worth watching. I suppose over the next few days there will be even more movies and shows like this. Probably a good time of year to pull out some of those movies that we still haven't seen in our DVD collection.

Bill Time

As much as I dread doing bill's, I'm thinking I should get them done this weekend...as the baby could literally come any day now!! Scott's Working....Again

Although Scott really enjoys this time of year because he gets to work in the field and make some great bonuses before the end of the year comes around...I always feel bad for him when he has to work 6 and 7 days a week. He handles it pretty well though, and is actually getting used to the early hours and the long weeks. I just feel bad and wish that he had more time to spend at home during this Fall season. Oh well I guess....the sooner they get out there and get things done, the sooner the busy season will be over and he can spend lots of time at home again.

November Babies??

It's kind of weird, because both my sister-in-law and I thought we would probably be having October babies. Her baby is due today and mine is due tomorrow. I guess we kind of thought our babies could be born after their due date, but never considered the fact that they could be November babies instead. That's fine if they are...it's just weird to think about. I'm just excited that the time is nearing and soon we'll have our babies here with us!!

Due Dates

It's crazy to think that the time has come for these babies in our family to be born. My sister-in-law is actually due today and my due date is tomorrow. I can't believe how quickly time has gone. Although we both kind of figured that we would go past our due dates seeing how this is our first pregnancy, we were both still hopeful that we might possibly go on our due dates. It's not looking like that's going to happen...but who knows...the babies could come any time now. We'll just have to wait and see when they're ready.

Where does the day go?

My days just fly by!! It seems that by the time I get the cleaning and work that I need get done on the computer...It's just about time for Scott to come home from work. I don't know where the hours go!! It just baffles my mind how quickly it goes. I never feel like there is enough time in a day to get everything done. I am comforted to know though that I'm not the only one that feels this way. It seems that there are so many people out there who are so busy and just want time to slow down a bit.

My Ring

When I was about 8 1/2 months pregnant, my fingers began to swell a bit. Because of this, I have not been able to wear my wedding ring. Although I know it's only temporary...I just hate not having it on. It's weird, but I don't feel right now wearing it. My hubby always has his on, and I miss not being able to wear mine too. My mom had a ring that was big enough to fit on her middle finger, so she has been letting me wear that through out these past weeks so that I don't feel absolutely naked without a ring on my finger. I'm glad she had this ring...because I couldn't imagine not wearing anything on that finger.

Junk Mail!!

I don't know about you, but having an e-mail has it's cons. I mean, don't get me wrong...I can't imagine not having an e-mail. It's the absolute best way to stay in touch with people these days!! I can go to bed one night having all my messages read, and then in the morning...I might have 20 e-mails that are all junk!! Getting Older

I remember when I was young every birthday was a huge thing to me!! I mean, it was great to be a year older each year!! It seems like once you hit 18 though, birthdays seem to become less and less important. In fact, sometimes I have to think about how old I am...it's not even that easy to remember.haha It's not that I don't enjoy my birthday's, I guess it's just not the same as when you're young. Can anyone else relate to this??

World Series

I don't know about you, but it's been the talk of the month with the World Series upon us. My husband is a sports nut!! He would love to get some tickets to see a game in the World Series, but we have found that world series tickets to a game this big are sold out right away!! Squirrels

Not long ago we got a squirrel feeder for a tree in our front yard. I enjoy watching squirrels outside so much, that I thought this would be a fun way to attract more to our yard. I do really like it, but I never realized how much they eat!! Wow!!! We had three things of corn and within a couple weeks the corn was all gone!! We haven't put another one out for a while, because the corn disappears more and more quickly. I'm sure we will soon though, as I'm missing not seeing the squirrels come around as often.

Friday!

Staying at home has really caused me to lose track of the days. I find that every day feels the same to me...as I am typically cleaning and working on the computer. The only time that a day feels different is when Scott is home on the weekends and we have some time to spend together. Otherwise, every day feels like a Monday. However, I was thinking today about how today is Fridays. I get very excited when Friday comes, because that means the weekend is around the corner...and you guessed it...I get to spend time with my hubby!! I just love Fridays!

Blogging

I've really enjoyed getting into this whole blogging thing. At first I just started it as a way to get my thoughts out there about what was going on in my life. After a while, I began to feel that I could do much more with my blog and started to do some reviews and things on products that I thought were important. My blog is not only a way for me to keep people involved in what's going on in my life, but it's also been a great source of extra cash flow for us. Here and there I'm able to make some money doing some advertising for those companies that want honest reviews. I've really enjoyed this and hope to continue for a very long time!

Staying Home

I don't know about you, but I always knew from the time I was younger that I wanted to stay home with my children when they were young. I know there are differing opinions on this subject, but for me it was not a question. Even if I had to make sacrifices and not have everything that I would like...I was going to stay home with my kids. Well, the time has come when my hubby and I are expecting our first baby. And, of course, I am choosing to stay home.:) We have made it work and I'm so happy that he supports and agrees with me staying home. We both feel strongly that a child is so impressionable at the young ages especially, and that we want to be the ones raising them and teaching them...not complete strangers!

Friends

It's kind of weird how so many of my friends are kind of in the same place I am in life right now. Now that we're all out of college we've all kind of taken the same path. We have found jobs, gotten married...and many of us are now having babies. It's kind of fun to have people who are going through the same things as you are...I've really enjoyed it anyways. I guess that's how it goes though. Most of us go to college, find that perfect someone, get married have a family and find the job that we've always wanted. It's so nice to be living our lives this way...I love it!

Brrr...

Lately it's seemed colder in our house than it has outside!! I don't know why this is, but it's really not fun to be in a house that's so cold all the time. I haven't really wanted to turn on the heat all that much, because I know that outside it's not that cold...upper 60's I think. This morning I finally gave in and turned on the heat. Once it warmed up I turned it back off though...as I could tell I was then going to get way too warm. It feels perfect in here now that the cold is gone. Hopefully it stays that way?!

Orlando

I have to say one of my all time favorite places to go on vacation is Orlando Florida. Someday my husband and I would really like to take our family there. I told him though, that it's going to be really important that when we do that we make sure to plan everything out. I mean, there are so many Orlando Hotels and so many theme parks...we need to decide what's going to suit our needs and interests best. Can't Sleep

I'm sure it's common at the end of pregnancy...but I sure haven't been sleeping well lately. Between the baby's weight pressing on my ribs every way that I lay, and the fact that I'm always getting up to use the bathroom....it seems that I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I know that in a way this is probably good and helping to prepare me for when the baby arrives. It's just hard because then I feel kind of yucky the next day. I'm trying to take it easy and rest up as much as I can, because I know that I will need my energy here in the next week.

It went great!

When I walked into my doctor's appointment yesterday, I really didn't know what to expect. I mean...my due date is Sunday (two days away) and I didn't know what the doctor was going to tell me. I wasn't sure if she'd just have me make another appointment next week...or if she'd tell me it looks like I'm about ready to have this baby. To my surprise...she thought the baby is getting closer and closer to being ready. She said that she doesn't like her patients to go over 41 weeks and if I don't have the baby by next thursday then I'm going in for an induction. Although this isn't really the route that I would choose to go...her reasoning made sense and I'm more than ready to meet this baby. We know everything will go just perfectly.:)
